Sydenham Hillside Primary School
Responding to the growing student population across Sydenham Hillside Primary School’s dual campuses, KDA developed a five-year Asset Management Plan that identified the need for purpose-built facilities to support future-focused learning. Central to this vision was the introduction of dedicated Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) spaces designed to inspire creativity, collaboration, and innovation among students.

Spaces for learning, play, and growth
In parallel, the plan recognised the importance of upgrading the existing sporting facilities to meet present day standards and better serve the school community. The resulting masterplan delivered a comprehensive modernisation across both campuses, featuring new STEAM and STEM buildings, a revitalised multipurpose hall, a new sports oval, a soccer pitch, and several new playgrounds — creating vibrant, engaging, and inclusive environments that support both academic and physical development.
Light-filled, flexible learning environments
Each space was carefully crafted to foster modern learning, with thoughtfully arranged layouts and abundant natural light that enhance engagement and wellbeing. The interiors are fully equipped with contemporary fixtures and fittings, creating flexible, inspiring environments that support a variety of teaching and learning styles.
