NUNAWADING CHRISTIAN COLLEGE
The Nunawading Christian College Masterplan was commissioned in April 2011. The central goal of the Masterplan was to prepare the school for significant growth in the student population during the next decade. Following the completion of several staged construction projects, a Masterplan review was undertaken in 2018. Projects undertaken to date include:

Shared community
A major strength which the Nunawading Christian College brings to this project is a cohesive, strong school community, underpinned by a set of core values. The strong Christian values are complemented by the physical location of the school, sited on a gentle, picturesque hillside, with abundant tree planting and a small creek flowing through. The K-12 school shares the site with a retirement village, aged care facility and Church. In response to these strengths and challenges, the focus of the Masterplan was to resolve the location and layout of both existing buildings and proposed new facilities on the site in a manner which supports the educational, physical and pastoral well being of the students.
The major limitation of the existing campus is the confined parcel of land on which to develop the proposed educational facilities. The usable land parcel is restricted by the shared community use, and the requirements of City of Whitehorse Council, which severely limits any land clearing. The site is multi-level, with areas of steeply sloping ground, demanding careful planning of built from and open space. Additionally, the adjacent train line requires acoustic consideration to minimise its impact on the school community.
