Extended learning journey
The new Children’s Centre will extend the college’s ability to respond to the needs of their community by offering a continuous learning journey from the early years through to primary and secondary education. The centre comprises 2No. Children’s Rooms, each with a capacity of 33 children, ensuring staffing and spatial requirements are compatible. The rooms are supported by kitchen, laundry and reception/ office facilities.
Staged Project
The works completed represent Stage 1 of the Children’s Centre, with the design allowing for capacity to be doubled by constructing a mirror image of the children’s rooms in the future. The indoor learning environment is complemented by an outdoor courtyard area which has been developed for ‘Bush Kinder play’.
