Penelope Mulholland — Practice Director

Penelope and Robert Bienvenu founded Kneeler Design Architects (KDA) in 1989 after working with other prominent architects. 36 years on, the firm has evolved into a well-established, 15-staff powerhouse. Under the combined leadership of Penelope and Robert, KDA has earned numerous public and education architectural awards on local, Australasian, and international levels in recognition of its pursuit of exceptional outcomes. Penelope and Robert is also deeply committed to nurturing and training KDA staff, fostering long-term loyalty and dedication. These have contributed to KDA’s continued success and reputation in the industry.

Penelope has a lifelong interest in art, reading, cooking, gardening, and music. She also enjoys botanical watercolour and life drawing. After stepping back in 1997 to raise her family, she returned to work at 75% capacity in 2003, while her sons are thriving in their pursuits.
