With over 30 years of experience, Karolien has designed and delivered a variety of public and private projects in both Australia and her native country Belgium. Joining the practice 25 years ago, her primary focus is on educational projects, working across all stages, from Masterplan to Sketch Design to Contract Documentation to working with builders on site. Karolien’s expertise lies in blending functionality with creativity, ensuring that building and internal spaces are architecturally inspiring and code compliant. Her approach ensures the best possible outcome for clients and stakeholders, creating practical and engaging environments for users.

Karolien loves travelling, mainly to Europe and Asia, but hopes to explore South America and Africa through the lens of architecture, art and food. Her interests also includes cooking dishes from different cultures, reading non fiction books and drawing to fuel her creativity.
