The Hume Central Secondary College campus is located on Blair Street, Broadmeadows, a site previously occupied by Broadmeadows Secondary College. The project also includes Broadmeadows Preschool (K), Broadmeadows Primary School (P – 6) and the English Language Centre.

Teaching spaces are planned to facilitate enquiry-based learning, multi-disciplinary approaches and team teaching. The materials used in the buildings provide a contrast between the earthy, neutral tones of masonry and rammed earth walls, and the exposed steel structure, punctuated by vibrant colour panels. Students can easily identify different year level buildings by the bold colour schemes which distinguish the entry doors, external panels, carpets and joinery. Junior areas have a gentler colour palette, graduating to bolder colours for the older years.

Community engagement with the school is encouraged by the main address to Blair Street. Buildings with potential for after-hours use, such as the Library, Café and Music/Drama facility have been located prominently for direct access from Blair Street. The gymnasium is located to the east boundary of the site, with its own car park, allowing direct public access from Chiltern Street.
